Hi,
My name is Steve. I’ve lived in Anchorage, AK since October 2007. Like many, I came here for work – I was an engineer for a big blue oilfield service company working on drilling rigs on the North Slope and in the Cook Inlet. At some point, I met my wife and bought a house and had kids and settled down for good. As I entered my forties, I realized that I am not defined by my work and that I had more to say. During covid, I started a sketchbook and I began a drawing habit that I had not had since I was a kid, and it continues through today. Also, back in 2012 we took a trip to Bali that sparked the beginning of another hobby – photography. And now, I am getting tired of chasing the algorithms and training their models with my content – but I still want to share my sketches, drawings and photos with friends and followers, so here we are.
